Happy 1st Birthday William!!!

Happy Birthday William!!!

William was born at 4:10pm on November 20th weighing in at 8lbs. 12 oz.

We went to the doctor this morning for William's 12 month check up. He was 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. The doctor said he was the size of an average 16 month old. In the long run it doesn't really matter because they change so much over the years, but he does seem big.

He is still not walking on his own, but he's getting close. He has taken a few steps by himself, so hopefully he will be walking by Christmas. He only eats table food now, so we are officially done with baby food. In fact, he had his first Happy Meal this past weekend. My grass therapy seems to be working, see below...
He will have a little birthday party tomorrow and then a few family parties. Jonathan and I bought him a little basketball goal, I'm not sure who will play with it more...William or Jonathan.

Having William has been a bigger blessing than I ever could have imagined. God has been so good to our little family and we cannot wait to see what he has in store for us!!!

William's Yoga Boat Pose

I just wanted to share some pictures of William and his aversion for the feel of grass. We call it his yoga boat pose. I have implemented grass therapy where we go sit in the backyard and play in the grass. He really does love being outside and pulling the grass. He seems to be getting a little better about putting his legs and feet down.

Revamping the House

This weekend I had the idea to change the study into a playroom for Mr. William. I thought it would be simple, just moving the desk and computer to the guestroom. Boy was I wrong. Our study had turned into a blackhole, it was the place where everything that didn't have a home went to die. We ended up cleaning out and rearranging our closets, moving furniture between three bedrooms, moving pictures because a play room can't have diplomas and a hunting picture in it, buying a new little T.V. stand for the playroom...you get the picture. Four huge bags for Goodwill and three filled with trash later we finally have the house somewhat organized. It turned into way more than we bargained for, but it's nice to have our den back. When we finally brought William into the new playroom, he turned and crawled right out to play with the vacuum cleaner that was sitting in the hall!
