To Infinity and Beyond...

William is REALLY into Toy Story lately and especially loves Buzz Lightyear. My sister gave him some dress up clothes for Christmas last year and luckily there is a Buzz Lightyear costume in the bunch. He has been wearing it constantly and jumping off all the furniture yelling..."I'm Buzz Lightyear, To Infinity and Beyond!" He wants to wear it out of the house, but I won't let him. I feel like I have to draw the line somewhere.

Kids Say the Darndest Things....

William had an end of the year party at Mother's Day Out and they gave all the kids Happy Meals. When we got home I went through his backpack and found his Happy Meal toy. I unwrapped the toy and took it to him in the playroom. "William, look what you got at school today." He looked at it for a minute and then held it up to me saying enthusiastically, "Look Mommy, she looks just like you!" Did I mention that the toy was Princess Fiona from Shrek! For those of you not familiar with Shrek...she is a giant green OGRE. Thanks William.

The other day William woke up from his nap demanding a snack. I said, "That's not how you ask for a snack from Mommy. What do you say?" He looked at me annoyed and sarcastically said, "please." I responded sarcastically with, "Please...beautiful sweet Mommy." Then I waited for him to repeat what I said. He looked at me and said, "Please...Grumpy Old Troll." Then he gave me this look like, your move Mommy. I thought about putting him in time out, but I just died laughing and then he started laughing too. What a little stinker.
Side Note: The Grumpy Old Troll is a character from Dora the Explorer. He is yellow, covered in hair, lives under a bridge and makes Dora solve riddles to pass.

Jonathan was changing William into his pajamas for bed when William pointed at a stray hair on Jonathan's shoulder. "Daddy, what is that?" Jonathan responded with, "a hair, see daddy has hair all over his body. Look at my chest, someday when you get big you will have hair on your chest just like Daddy." William burst out crying in horror and yelling, "No, no, I don't want hair like Daddy!" Jonathan, "Don't worry buddy, you can always shave it or wax it." William sniffling, "O.K."

Here are my favorite sweet William stories too...
I caught him hugging Logan the other day and saying, "I love you SO much Logan."
He tells me I look like a princess every time I wear a skirt.
Jonathan was out of town a lot recently and William sadly goes, "I really want to hug Daddy."

Memorial Day Weekend

We went down to Rockport for Memorial Day. The drive was a little tough, it took us about 5 hours going and 5 1/2 coming home. William and Logan both don't sleep in the car like most kids which makes it really hard. We miss the easy 3 hour drive from Houston.

William had a blast as usual. He went to the beach, swimming, fishing, boat rides, flew his Spiderman kite and played baseball. He also sat by a fire ant bed getting bites all over his legs, feet and hands. He broke out in a heat rash all over his body and then bumped his head pretty good on a corner when we got home giving himself a giant goose egg on his forehead. He looked pretty beat up, I guess it's just the sign of a good time!

Here are some pics of our trip...

My birthday was on the 28th, so we got some cupcakes to celebrate. William was super excited...

It was so hot I had to keep Logan inside most of the time. Here he is getting tired of playing in the Exersaucer...

See if you can spot the fish in this picture...
