Lunch with the Milams

We had lunch the other day with the Milam crew...Cory, Karri, Carter, Maggie, and their parents, Robin and George. Here are some pictures of William and a potential future girlfriend, Maggie, having lunch.

Ho, Ho, Ho and Happy Birthday Jesus!

We had four wonderful Christmas celebrations starting Christmas Eve day and continuing on through Christmas day. William received so many great toys and definitely had a blast. He has been one wild and crazy Christmas guy for two days now. We were amazed at how excited he got at opening presents, he really figured out what was going on. It was a lot fun! All the pictures of William in the green pajamas are from Christmas morning. His main gift from us was a Climb and Slide Castle that he loved.

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and in the true spirit of the holiday, I leave you with this...
"She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

Christmas Weekend

If you've read my previous posts, you will see that we had a very busy Christmas weekend. We topped it off last night with another "Walk Through Bethlehem" at the church we attend. I feel like we have been completely immersed in the Christmas spirit this weekend.

Updates: Our heater problem turned out to be low gas pressure that affected half our street, so I am happy to report the heater was working by the next morning. Jonathan and I both came down with William's stomach bug last week, but we are all better now. Jonathan's legs are getting better every day. He still has a lot of pain, bruising and swelling, but he's getting around pretty well.

Lunch at Champions

Nannie took us to Champions Golf Club today for a huge Christmas lunch with my sister and her family. The food was wonderful and the kids did really well. The club always has amazing Christmas decorations.

Summerwood Winterfest

This afternoon we went to our neighborhood Winterfest. They had a horse drawn carriage, petting zoo, camel, games, school orchestra, food and William's favorite...Santa. I am officially giving up on Santa this year, poor little guy gets so scared. There's always next year!

Breakfast with Santa

This morning we went to "Breakfast with Santa" at the Aquarium restaurant in Kemah with Jonathan's sisters and nephews. William's second encounter with Santa went just like the first...screaming, crying, and grabbing me for dear life. He did love the fish tank, until Santa jumped in. We thought he wouldn't really notice Santa, but when he did he high tailed it out of there.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!

It is snowing outside and not just snow flurries, real snow!

What a week... with Jonathan's surgery being a lot worse than we thought it would and William having a stomach virus...and now, with snow falling and the coldest day of the year, our heater isn't working!! It's only blowing cold air! Jonathan insisted on driving to Wal-Mart at 9pm, in the snow (with his legs all bandaged up) to buy a space heater. Our plan is to put William in our room and hunker down for the night and then get it fixed tomorrow. Oh well, it's almost comical.

Ho, Ho, Ho....Merry Christmas!

William's first encounter with Santa, it wasn't pretty...

Here we are buying our Christmas tree...

Jonathan did a great job putting lights on the house.

We went to a "Walk Through Bethlehem" at my mom's church. William and Camryn ate their way through Bethlehem, enjoying goldfish and authentic Mediterranean bread. My other niece, Loren, thought we were going to the real Bethlehem...what a let down. My sister said she explained to her that we would have to take an airplane to get there, that it was really far away. Loren responded, "why don't we just take a donkey to get there like Mary and Joseph."
